The Region 5C Amateur Baseball Tournament is scheduled to be over today in Owatonna.  At 10:00 a.m. the Owatonna Aces play the Cannon Falls Bears.  At 1:00 p.m. ithe Stewartville/Racine Sharks face the Wanamingo Jacks.  Those are elimination bracket games with the winners playing at 7:00 p.m. for the third qualifier to the State Tournament from Region 5C.

At 4:00 p.m. the Lake City Serpents and Red Wing Aces collide for the Region 5c Tournament Championship.  The winner is the title holder and receives an opening weekend by at the State Tournament being played in New Prague, Shakopee and Jordan.  The team that doesn't win is the number two seed out of Region 5C.

If Cannon Falls or Wanamingo win their first game today we will have the state qualifying game on KDHL 920AM tonight.  Coverage begins approximately 6:50 p.m. The best way to listen is to download the FREE KDHL app.  No static and it sounds like you are sitting with the announcer in the booth.  In addition you can read the website content while enjoying the broadcast.

So far it's been a good year in terms of teams making it to the State Tournament from around the KDHL listening area.
