Randolph-Hampton Fire District Chicken BBQ and Street Dance
The 52nd Annual Randolph-Hampton Fire District Chicken BBQ and Street Dance is Saturday in Randolph. A Chicken meal will be served from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. withe the dance from 9:00 p.m. to Midnight.
In addition to scrumpcius BBQ Chicken the meal includes Corn on the Cob, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, a Dinner Roll and choice of Coffee or Pop. Tickets are $14.00 for adults and $8.00 for kids aged 12 and under.
Last year a record 2,521 people attended the event. Two people more than the previous record set in 1992.
The Randolph-Hampton Fire Hall is the site for the fun with "Your Dad's Band" performing. They are a popular cover band out of the Twin Cities.
They have tickets you can purchase for the chance to win over $9,000 in prizes.
In 2001 the Randolph and Hampton Fire Departments combined to form a 32 person all volunteer fire department covering over 70 square miles including the communities of Randolph and Hampton as well as 7 area townships. Castle Rock, Hampton, New Trier, Waterford, Sciota, Randolph and Stanton Townships.
