Blame it on the rain, literally. The Rice County Fair on Facebook announced that both the Enduro races scheduled for Wednesday night at the grandstand and the rodeo for Thursday night have been canceled due to the rain, and impending rain.

The announcement came in the early afternoon on Wednesday after the Enduro racing announcement was made shortly before noon. Unlike the rodeo, the Enduro races will be made up next weekend according to the social media post.

Still on though for Wednesday night, is the 6:30 kids tractor pedal pull. Other grandstand events for Friday night through Sunday will still be held as of Wednesday afternoon. John Dvorak of the Rice County Fair board told KDHL that it was a "tough decision" to make but ultimately it came down to "the safety of the riders and the animals."
