Zumbrota, MN (KROC AM News) - A Pine Island man was killed Tuesday in a work-related accident in Zumbrota.

The Zumbrota Police Dept. says the accident happened around noon while 62-year-old James Mueller was 30 feet in the air in the bucket of his boom truck. He was operating the controls when the boom arm suddenly broke off from the truck and the bucket fell to the ground with Mueller inside.

He was unresponsive when paramedics arrived and efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

Mueller was the owner and operator of Jim’s Tree Service of Pine Island.  His website indicates he had been in business for more than 30 years.
