Owatonna's VFW baseball team went 2-2 at the Battle of Omaha over the weekend. The Aces amateur team won at Winona on Sunday after dropping a home game versus Rochester on Friday.

After having their first day rained out, the Owatonna VFW baseball team went 2-2 over the weekend while playing in the "Battle of Omaha." This was the seventh straight year Owatonna appeared in the tournament. They also watched games in the College World Series. The VFW will host Red Wing on Monday night at a 6PM doubleheader at Dartts Park in Owatonna.

The Owatonna Aces scored a 3-2 win at Winona on Sunday afternoon. Tyler Smith got the win while Riley Thompson picked up the save. Benji Hager homered. The Aces lost to the Rochester Royals on Friday night at Fuller Field 7-4, while committing five errors. The Aces play at the Austin Greyhounds on Wednesday night at 7:30PM.

Owatonna's Legion team had the weekend off. They will entertain Waseca on Tuesday night at Dartts Park in a 5:30PM doubleheader. Wednesday Post 77 plays at Mankato at 5:30PM in a nine-inning game and Thursday they go to Austin at 6:30PM.

Class A: No. 1 seed New Life Academy plays No. 2 Springfield, noon

Class AA: No. 1 St Cloud Cathedral plays No. 3 Minnehaha Academy, 3PM

Class AAA: No. 5 Lakeville North plays No. 2 Chanhassen, 6PM
