The newsletter reports, "The responding officers did not locate the males in the apartment building but noted a vehicle in the parking lot previously reported to being involved in drug and prostitution activity. The vehicle was occupied by two males matching the description from the original call."

After making contact with the men, officers, "observed illegal controlled substances in the vehicle. "The illegal drugs led to a vehicle search which uncovered a fully loaded, stolen Taurus 9mm pistol. An occupant in the vehicle, Dak Ret, age 24 of Waseca, was arrested and jailed."

Charges included "Illegal Possession of Ammunition/a Firearm and 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, both felonies." The newsletter further states, "Ret was previously convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm" and a juvenile robbery charge.
