The Owatonna girls soccer team beat Lakeville South 2-1 in double overtime Saturday. Nicole Vargas and Sophie Amundson scored for Owatonna, according to @OHSGirlsSoccer_.

Vargas scored in the first half. South evened the game in the second half. Amundson's goal came late in the second overtime to give OHS the 2-1 lead, but did not mark the end of the game. In the regular season, overtimes are played to their conclusion. South got a free kick with time running out, but the horn sounded while the ball was in the air signaling the end of the contest. The ball eluded the Owatonna goal keeper and rolled into the net, but did not count, leaving the South fans upset.
