Over 1 Million Products Recalled in Minnesota, IA, and IL Due to Laceration and Fire Hazard
Over 1 million candles sold at Walmart stores in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and throughout the United States. The recall was announced on February 23rd by the Consumer Product Safety Commission due to fire and laceration hazards.

Below are photos and product info from the Consumer Product Safety Commission for the candles that have been recalled.
- PRODUCT DETAILS: 14-ounce glass jar with a metal lid was sold with Halloween and autumn themes. The candles are about 4 inches long and 4 inches wide.
- NUMBER OF CANDLES RECALLED: 1,210,000
- REASON FOR RECALL: 12 reports have been made indicating that the candle was burning too close to the side of the glass. Due to how close the flame was, there is a risk to the glass cracking and because of that, one minor cut was reported, several reports of damage to other items nearby were noticed, and there was one fire.
- WHERE PRODUCT WAS SOLD: The candles were sold between September and November 2022 for about $7 at Walmart stores throughout the U.S. and at walmart.com.
