If you hate spring forward this bill being proposed by Sen. Marco Rubio might be for you! He originally proposed the Sunshine Protection Act last March but it never advanced. The bill is to keep daylight saving time permanently. We would spring forward on Sunday and then never go back.

Sen. Rubio told the Orlando Sentinel that “'studies have shown many benefits of a year-round Daylight Saving Time, which is why Florida’s Legislature overwhelmingly voted to make it permanent last year.'”

According to The Conversation, if daylight saving time stayed for good (meaning we'll have an extra hour of sunlight at night) there would be fewer car crashes, less crime, energy would be saved, and we would get better sleep because we wouldn't be adjusting to a time change twice per year.

On the other side though, people are concerned that not switching our clocks in the winter would be dangerous for children because that means they'd be waiting for the bus or walking to school in the dark. The sun wouldn't rise until about 8 AM in the winter

What do you think? Should this daylight saving time be the last time we adjust our clocks?
