Motorcyclist One of Two Minnesotans Killed in Separate Wrecks
East Bethel, MN (KROC AM News) - A Minnesota motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident Wednesday.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the motorcyclist was driving in Anoka County when a truck entered the freeway in front of him. The motorcyclist hit the truck broadside and died at the scene. He was identified as 64-year-old Michael McCauley of East Bethel. The driver of the truck was identified as 65-year-old Stephen Notsch of Big Lake. The wreck happened around 11:00 AM.
A Duluth man was fatally injured and his passenger seriously hurt in a crash involving a semi-truck in northeast Minnesota early Wednesday. The State Patrol says 29-year-old Jesse Muellner was driving in Proctor around 3:30 AM when he crossed the centerline and collided with the oncoming truck. His passenger was identified as 28-year-old Natasha Richard of Proctor. Her injuries were described as life-threatening. The driver of the truck was not hurt. He was identified as 59-year-old Merrill Whited of Hinkley.
