It seems like just about all of us these days are drinking sparkling water. There are a lot of brands out there, but just which one is the favorite here in Minnesota?

Sparkling water (or seltzer or fizzy water) sales are huge these days across the country, including here in Minnesota. And there are a LOT of different flavors produced by a LOT of different brands out there. Ever wonder just which one is the favorite of Minnesotans across the Land of 10,000 Lakes?

Well, the folks over at Health-Ade.com did, and they started doing some online research to figure out which brand is tops not only here in Minnesota but in each state. And, in case you're curious, sparkling water sales are BIG business these days.

Sparkling water has already been big overseas for a while now. While it's rarely served in restaurants here, when we were in Italy and Spain last year, whenever you asked for water at a restaurant they asked you if you wanted 'still'(that'd be your regular water) or 'sparkling.'

And now, according to this BeverageIndustry.com story, sparkling water sales are showing big increases here in the U.S. as well. "Sparkling water is one of the fastest-growing non-alcoholic beverage categories; sparkling water sales increased 11 percent from 2013 to 2018," the story noted.

But which one sells the most? Well, here in Minnesota, that'd be Bubly Sparkling Water, which is owned by Pepsi. It's also the most popular in South Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming and Alaska. Over in my home state of Wisconsin, Klarbrunn Sparkling Water is the most popular (which makes sense, seeing as its headquarters are in Watertown, Wisconsin.)

Nationally, though, Sparkling Ice is the most popular brand of sparkling water, followed by Zevia and Dasani Sparkling water. Do you drink a lot of sparkling water? And, if so, which one is YOUR favorite?
