Minnesota Pro Teams Have TWO of the Best Logos in the USA

Who is your favorite pro team? What is your favorite professional sports team logo? Might be the same team. But a company surveyed sports fans asking them to separate themselves from their favorite team in order to rank the top logos in the five major professional sports leagues in America.

TWO Minnesota sports teams made the top ten overall list. And both of them are ranked tops in their respective leagues as well. One of the Minnesota logos is the sixth best overall in the USA (and a little bit in Canada since the NHL is part of the survey).

The folks at Quality Logo Products found the Minnesota Timberwolves were No. 1 among NBA team logos and No. 6 in the overall ranking, which includes the NBA, NFL, Major League Baseball and MLS (Major League Soccer). Incidentally, Minnesota United from MLS was ranked first among pro soccer franchises and No. 10 in the overall ranking.

The worst overall logo belongs to the Washington Football Team, which essentially has no logo at this time anyway.

Top five NFL logos

1. Jaguars
2. Eagles
3. Ravens
4. Buccaneers
5. Dolphins

Minnesota Vikings ranked 16th on the list, finishing ahead of the Packers.

Top five NBA logos

1. Timberwolves
2. Bulls
3. Hornets
4. Heat
5. Suns

The Milwaukee Bucks came in 13th. The Portland Trail Blazers were last.

Top five MLB logos

1. Mariners
2. A's
3. Yankees
4. Dodgers
5. Marlins

The Twins rated as fifth worst logo. Milwaukee was ninth best. Cleveland was rated last. That franchise will transition from Indians to Guardians for their nickname.

Top five NHL logos

1. Sharks
2. Red Wings
3. Avalanche
4. Penguins
5. Coyotes

The Wild ranked ninth. The worst logo belongs to Montreal.

Top five MLS logos

1. MN United Loons
2. DC United
3. Real Salt Lake
4. New York Bulls
