Mayo Clinic to Open New Location in SE Minnesota
Plainview, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Mayo Clinic Health System has announced a ribbon cutting celebration and opening date for a new clinic in the Rochester area.
The ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. All appointments on and after Monday, April 24 will be at the new location.
Friday’s event will mark the completion of a project to construct a new Mayo Clinic Health System in Plainview. The new facility is located at 245 First St. SW, which is just a few doors down from the former location at 275 First St. SW.
The health system is closed in Plainview Thursday and Friday to allow staff to move into the new building. The clinic will continue booking appointments through Patient Online Services or by calling the appointment line at 507-534-3169 during the temporary closure, according to a Mayo Clinic news release.
Mayo Clinic is also offering the community options for anyone in need of same day care during the transition:
- Express Care Online — Answer a questionnaire on Patient Online Services and receive a recommendation from a health care professional within one hour.
- Express Care Video Visit — Speak directly to a health care professional via a video call on Patient Online Services. Schedule on Patient Online Services or by calling 507-534-3169.
- Primary Care — Check availability for same-day appointments at nearby Mayo Clinic Health System locations in Lake City or Red Wing on Patient Online Services or by calling 507-534-3169.
