Rice County Fair Manager John Dvorak was my guest on today's AM Minnesota Program. Late last week John stopped by KDHL studios to make the announcement about the Rice County Fair being canceled on Gordy's 8:05 news report. I don't think anyone was surprised with the COVID-19 pandemic and the Minnesota State Fair already having been canceled.

There is a lot of responsibility being a Fair Manager or being on the County Fair Board. Top of the list is the safety of exhibitors, performers and all the visitors that attend the fair. While the decision to cancel the 2020 Rice County Fair seemed certain there were many other reasons to consider in making that decision. Many of them neve even occurred to me and I suspect many other people. Click on the links below and listen to John explain all the issues the Rice County Fair Board needed to consider!
