COVID-19: Olmsted County Reports New Death

St Paul (KROC AM News) - Olmsted County has reported another COVID-19 death.

The new case has raised the county's total since the pandemic began to 11.

It was one of 22 new deaths reported by the state Health Dept. Tuesday  The state’s COVID-19 death total now stands at 1072 with 866 involving residents of long term care and/or assisted living facilities. 

There were 300 new positive cases reported Tuesday, raising the total to 25,500. Just over 10-percent involved health care workers. The number of infected residents no longer needing isolation is nearly 20,400. 

The number of tests has risen to nearly 259,000.
