This story isn't about the paper straws at Kwik Trip, but I have seen a bunch of people complaining about them online so I thought I'd include the tweet below that explains they are only temporary. The convenience store has made one change at all of its locations that will be permanent. Read more about that below.

Kwik Trip currently has more than 700 locations spread throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Last month, KT announced a major change that customers will notice at each of its convenience stores starting January 3rd, 2022.

Kwik Trip will not be allowing customers to pay for their gas after pumping. All fuel pumps will become prepay or pay-at-the-pump at every single Kwik Trip starting on January 3rd. Find out why below.

TMJ4 explains, "This move will remove the option of paying inside after fueling a vehicle. Customers will still be able to prepay with cash, check, or gift cards inside the store." The Milwaukee TV station says the only exception will be the side-diesel stations that will still allow customers to pay inside after fueling up.

The change is being made to enhance the in-store experience for customers. Kwik Trip spokesperson Dave Niemi told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal, "When our co-workers spend so much time watching the fuel islands for drive-offs, they can't really focus on guest service in the stores."
