Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The driver of a car that was involved in a motorcycle crash in Rochester is being sought by police.

Capt. Casey Moilanen says the crash happened around 4:00 pm Sunday near the intersection of Broadway and 12th St SW.

Moilanen says the motorcycle and car were in separate lanes while driving west on 12th St. Witnesses say the car began moving into the motorcyclist’s lane and then swerved back.

It’s not known if the car made contact with the motorcyclist but he lost control and crashed. The 39-year-old Kasson man was not wearing a helmet and suffered a head injury. He was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Moilanen says the driver of the car never stopped. The only description given to police was that it was a white, sporty car.
