Here in Minnesota, it's odd that at this time of year we don't really have any snow.  This is the second year that this has happened, but the difference with this year compared to last year is the temperature.  We have had some cold days.  So that means that even though we don't have any snow, we have ICE!

It's one of those things where you work with what Mother Nature gives you.  And in this case it's cold temperatures so we have the opportunity to do some of the fun activities that involves ice.  And on the upside, if you do what to enjoy some snow activities, the ski areas will be able to make snow.

This weekend, actually, Friday, January 10th, the Minnesota Ice Festival is kicking off.  There are many activities that you can enjoy, and the biggest thing is a huge ice maze!  The Minnesota Ice festival goes from this Friday through February 16th. So there are plenty of opportunities to check that out.

Location:

TCO Stadium
Viking Lakes
2645 Vikings Circle, Eagan MN 55121

Tickets:

They have 3 levels of ticket prices, and the times are staggered.  That is so there isn't any sort of a bottle neck of people trying to get in to certain parts of the festival all at one time.  So, if you know what time and day you'd like to go, make sure to buy tickets in that time slot because there is a chance of any of those days and times being sold out.

Tickets for anyone over 15 are priced at $24.99.  Under 15 are half that at $12.99 and ages 4 and under are free.

So let's enjoy everything that a Minnesota winter has to offer and embrace the weather.
