Owatonna volleyball stuck with defending Big Nine volleyball champ Rochester Century Thursday night, but fell in straight sets 25-16, 25-17, 25-23. The Huskies had the lead at some point in each set, nearly sending the match to a fourth game as they led 23-22 in the third set. However, the Panthers scored the final three points to get the win, improving to 4-1 in the Big Nine.

OHS (6-8 overall, 2-2 Big Nine) led early in the opening set and kept it close through the midway point. Century led 13-12 and went on an 8-1 run to gain firm control. The teams traded points most of the way in the second set until Century broke a 16-16 with a 9-1 run to close the game.

Owatonna's Alyvia Johnson had nearly 15 kills with about half of those in the third set. Sydney Schultz knocked about ten kills. OHS hosts Rochester JM Tuesday.

Huskies girls soccer buried Rochester Mayo 6-0 at the Lincoln Complex in Owatonna. Jordan Whalen scored three times. Asia Bursyka notched her first varsity goal.

Owatonna boys soccer fell at Rochester Mayo 2-1.

Mankato West beat the OHS girls swimmers, though the Huskies swept the top three spots in diving.
