For the second time is less than a week the Owatonna High School boys soccer team spoiled the debut of a team's home field opener. On Thursday the Huskies won 3-0 at Albert Lea in the Tigers first match on their new turf pitch. Saturday, September 7 the Huskies did the same thing in a 1-nil victory at Hastings, also on a new field.

Huskies coach Bob Waypa was a guest on the KRFO Coaches Show on Saturday, September 14. He likes the number of scoring chances OHS is getting and believes the team can be a threat to everyone on their schedule.

Owatonna girls soccer coach Nate Gendron chatted about the addition to his family as well as a great recent win for the Huskies over previously unbeaten Mankato East.

Owatonna's volleyball team hosted No. 2 rated and defending Big Nine champ Northfield on Tuesday, September 10. Coach Jason Kaytor commented.

Blooming Prairie football coach Chad Gimbel reacted to the Blossoms 50-12 win at Hayfield and looked ahead to a big game with Goodhue on September 20.
