Huskies Play Spoilers Again [Coaches Show]

For the second time is less than a week the Owatonna High School boys soccer team spoiled the debut of a team's home field opener. On Thursday the Huskies won 3-0 at Albert Lea in the Tigers first match on their new turf pitch. Saturday, September 7 the Huskies did the same thing in a 1-nil victory at Hastings, also on a new field.

Huskies coach Bob Waypa was a guest on the KRFO Coaches Show on Saturday, September 14. He likes the number of scoring chances OHS is getting and believes the team can be a threat to everyone on their schedule.

Owatonna girls soccer coach Nate Gendron chatted about the addition to his family as well as a great recent win for the Huskies over previously unbeaten Mankato East.

Huskies football coach Jeff Williams recapped a strong 56-13 victory over New Prague that boosts the top-ranked Huskies to 3-0. He also previewed the upcoming showdown with the Mayo Spartans on September 20. View the football scores and broadcast schedule here.

Owatonna's volleyball team hosted No. 2 rated and defending Big Nine champ Northfield on Tuesday, September 10. Coach Jason Kaytor commented.

Blooming Prairie football coach Chad Gimbel reacted to the Blossoms 50-12 win at Hayfield and looked ahead to a big game with Goodhue on September 20.

NRHEG scored their first football victory of the season with their 55-6 performance over St. James. Coach Marc Kruger:

Medford football opened with an eye-popping first-quarter point total in their 69-7 win over Winona Cotter. Coach Jerome Johannes.

Triton football scored an impressive 16-14 win at No. 7 ranked Chatfield. Coach Mike Ellingson detailed the thrilling twists and turns of the contest.
