Well, the sun has finally poked out in my neck of the woods after a wet evening and overnight. Some areas in Southern Minnesota ended up with as much rain as was seen from Hurricane Hanna in Texas. 6-10 inches! So how much did some area communities get here in Southern Minnesota?

A little south of Mankato, Minnesota has the unfortunate distinction of receiving over 8" of rain last night, 3.3 miles SSW of Mankato reported 8.65" of rain, the most in Southern Minnesota.

According to the National Weather Service Morristown saw the most in our area with 6.37" of rain falling. That's way to much water in such a short time. Here are some other area results for how much rain fell.

All the rain wasn't enough to wash away the socially distanced 2020 Kolacky Day Parade, as the route was changed to wind through the City of Montgomery this afternoon. It was nice to see all of our neighbors out in their driveways waving at the parade participants. But if you blinked it was over, but that isn't such a bad thing either with how muggy it is out.
