Here Are The Best Foods To Eat at The Minnesota State Fair
What are the best Fair Foods at The MN State Fair?
While the Steele County Free Fair is still going on, I have been thinking about fair food all week! And one place that makes me super happy is the State Fair! Why? Because there is so many delicious and amazing food items to try. But the real trick is figuring out what you want to try, how much money you have, and how much room you have in your stomach! So to help you out I have the list of this year’s most popular foods at the great get-together (in my opinion).
- Fresh French Fries
Honestly the best thing ever and you get so many!
- Mini Donut Beer
From the Ball Park Café, you can try this beer! I haven’t tried it myself but I have heard it is amazing
- The Blu Belt Blueberry Beer
I haven’t tried this one either but I have been dying to! You can even get it with a little bit of a frozen piece on the top! Located at the Blue Barn
- Deep Fried Cookie Dough
This is my all-time favorite and has been for years! It is so fulling but so good! Located in the food building
- Sweet Martha’s Cookies
Obviously, this needed to make the list! And are you really a fair fan if you don’t get this?
- Pronto Pup
That last statement works for this one too! You can’t go to the fair without getting this!
- Apple Cider Popsicle
This is a new favorite of mine, and can be found at the Horticulture building! This is a frozen apple cider popsicle and its not only cheap but delicious.
- Deep Fried Pickles
One of the biggest food vendors in the fair is the perfect pickle which sells amazing deep-fried pickles
- Mouth Trap Cheese Curds
Another staple, but it is one of the best in my eyes! Located I believe in or near the food building, this is the place you must go for cheese curds!
- Mini Donut Iced Latte
I haven’t tried this one either but it caught my eye from one of the reviews I read for research! From the Anchor Café House. I wanted to add this because while the mini donut beer is good, this is a different option for people to try that want something like the classic treat.
Other mentions I feel I should quick add:
- Nordic Waffles
- Onion rings from anywhere
- French toast from the blue barn
- Any ice cream treats from the dairy building
- Tom Thumb Mini donuts
- Cinnie Smith’s cinnamon rolls
- Gizmo
- Tacos from Taco King
- Garlic fries from Ball Park Café
