The Minnesota Golden Gopher Football will go bowling and spend Christmas in Detroit.

The Gophers locked down their sixth win of the season when they beat the Wisconsin Badgers and brought home Paul Bunyan's Axe. Now, the Gophers will play their 13th game of the season in Detroit in the Quick Lane Bowl against Georgia Tech.

The Gophers will kickoff from Ford Field at 4:15 pm against Georgia Tech, who finished their season 7-5 overall and 5-3 in the ACC. The Gophers are 7-12 all-time in bowl games but have won their last two.

The Gophers took down Washington State 17-12 in the Holiday Bowl in 2016 and beat Central Michigan 21-14 in the Quick Lane Bowl in 2015. Before those two wins, the Gophers lost seven straight bowl games.
