FHS Mentioned, BA Football No Respect in Latest Polls

The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals have two losses this season. Both to state ranked teams in Class 1A. The Faribault Falcons have three losses so far, all to state ranked teams on the road.

The latest Minnesota Associated Press rankings of high school football teams has the Falcons in the others mentioned category in Class 4A while the Cardinals aren't even listed in Class 1A.

Undefeated Murray County Central sits atop the Class 1A poll with the top four teams unbeaten. Rushford-Peterson and Mayer Lutheran are the closest schools to Faribault on the rankings.

In Class 2A Blooming Prairie has been numero uno all year. Chatfield is #7, Maple River tied at #10.

Cannon Falls throttled top ranked Lake City last Wednesday in Lake City 74-38. The Bombers did move up three notches to #3 while Lake City went down to #5. Two undefeated teams are in the top two spots this week. Dassel-Cokato and Providence Academy.

Waseca is #6, Plainview-Elgin-Millville #9.

Class 4A has four undefeated teams included among the top five. The Faribault Falcons received votes. Hutchinson is #2 behind Becker. Stewartville is #5, Willmar #7, Kasson-Mantorville #9.

Class 5A, Mankato West has been on top all year. Rochester Mayo is #6, Mankato East received votes.

Class 6A Lakeville South is #1, Eden Prairie #2. Shakopee #6, Prior Lake #10.
