The Faribault Falcon volleyball team traveled to Owatonna Thursday night and went home 3-1 victors.

The Falcons fell behind early in three of the four sets and were able to mount a comeback and overtake the Huskies in two of the sets.

Faribault was behind 10-5 in the first set and collected a 25-19 win with five set points.  Senior Alexis West had five kills and senior Lauren Isaacson collected four kills.

Owatonna was led by 5'10 senior Sydney Schultz with 3 kills.

Schultz would finish the night with 18 kills and Isaacson had 21 for Faribault.

Alexis West had 12 kills, 10 came in the first two sets.

Morgan West took some errant passes and turned them into scramble points for her Faribault team.

In addition to the Wests and Isaacson, junior McKayla Armbruster (5K, 3 ace serves) was a Faribault State Farm Insurance agents Faribault Player of the Match.

The Falcons have three remaining matches before Section playoffs.

They will play Rochester Century, Mankato West and Rochester Mayo.

Owatonna is in a tournament at St. Michael-Albertville Friday and Saturday and travels to Austin and Mankato East next week then finishes their regular season at home the following week against Bethlehem Academy and Mankato West.

We'll be broadcasting the Bethlehem Academy match.

The Huskies unofficially finished the night with 5 ace serves and 6 service errors and the Falcons had 9 aces and two errors.
