Faribault Area Chamber CEO Talks Tourism on KDHL

Faribault Area Chameer of Commerce and Tourism CEO/President Nort Johnson is scheduled to stop by KDHL for AM Minnesota 9:30 this morning.  Johnson will be heading to a tourism conference in Chicago soon and we will get his thoughts about the upcoming tourism season in our area.

The Chamber Main Street organized Flannel Formal is this weekend.  The Chamber Gala will be on February 29, 2020.  We will more than likely touch on those topics.

Johnson is also passionate about work with local schools and South Central College in finding career paths for kids particularly in skilled trades like plumbers and electricians.

Interesting to note the Chicago Tribune recently listed their Top Ten Midwest destinations.  Three were in Indiana, three in Michigan.  One each in Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio and Minnesota.

Stillwater was their Minnesota choice due to the charm of the Stillwater Lift Bridge and the historic Main Sreet.

If you like history Faribault has the second most properties in the state listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Only St. Paul has more.
