The winds were howling big time at Waseca high school on Monday afternoon as the Falcons came in to face the Blue Jays. They had to play on the JV field at the high school, as this spring's weather not only delayed the start of the season for the teams but it also delayed the re-construction of Tink Larson Field.

The Falcons wasted to time getting the lead in the game as they scored 3 runs in the 1st, 5 runs in the 3rd and 1 run in the 4th. And held Waseca scoreless until the bottom of the 6th.

Blake Borwege went the distance throwing 87 pitches, 64 strikes and striking out 10. Matt Olsem took the loss for Waseca. He went 2 and 2/3 innings and was replaced by senior Cam Madsen.

Falcons will open home play at Bell Field Tuesday(Today) against Red Wing. Waseca is off till Saturday when they face Worthington at 11 am.
