Face Masks Now Required For All Guests At Treasure Island Resort and Casino

Starting this morning, all guests are now required to wear a face mask at Treasure Island Resort and Casino, regardless of vaccination status. According to a news release from Treasure Island, the requirement went into effect as of 8 a.m. Friday.

Other safety measures put in place at Treasure Island include:

  • Masks are required for all team members and guests
  • No smoking. Please use the designated smoking areas
  • Reduced hotel capacity and the removal of unnecessary high-touch surfaces within the rooms
  • Plexi-barriers at most guest interaction points
  • Hand sanitizing stations throughout the property

Treasure Island also removed all of their self-service beverage stations, but coffee and soda are available from the waitstaff upon request.

One lucky guest at The Island hit it big on their Cleopatra II slot machine. The guest was betting big ($20 per spin!) but it ended up working out just fine as the guest collected $52,496 according to the casino's Twitter account.

Rochester City Council Cancels Mayor's Mask Mandate

The Rochester City Council voted 5-2 late Thursday afternoon to rescind an emergency declaration issued by Mayor Kim Norton on Tuesday. The vote ends a faces mask mandate that covered nearly all indoor public settings.
