Typically, to put a legal plan together, it will take lawyers and accountants. However, the family, especially Mom and Dad need some basic knowledge and have some ideas of what they would like to do with their estate. What do you need to know, what questions should you ask, how do you put together your team? This webinar series will help inform you on what you need to know. Here are the specific webinar topics for each Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:30 am.

December 1, 2021: Developing your farm transition goals and assembling your "team"

December 8, 2021: All thinks tax: gifting, selling, and transferring

December 15: Wills, trusts, ownership titling-what does it all mean?

December 22: Putting the basics together: estate, retirement, healthcare, and business transfer planning

When my parents put together their estate plan we were told early on that everyone has an estate plan. Yes, the Federal Government and State of Minnesota have a plan for your estate. That plan likely is not the most beneficial to the children and is not how the families would set up their estate plan!
