So far, it has been reported by the BBB that victims from four different states have been victimized by the phony sites. It has been stated that they have each lost between $500-$750. The site in question is cylixfrenchies.com.  They claimed to be a "small family-owned concentrating on breeding superior Teacup French Bulldog Puppies as family pets". The kennel is "located" in beautiful Memphis, Tennessee but no physical address is listed on their website. The website was created on June 10 and is privately registered so no contact information is publicly available.

The BBB has also reported that online sale fraud of puppies is at an all time high during the current COVID-19 pandemic. There has been more than 2,100 reports of puppy scams this year to the BBB. For those who are really looking to a four-legged friend to adopt, the BBB has a directory for reputable Dog Breeders Near You! Or alternatively, you can visit your local shelter or rescue to give a deserving pet a second chance at a loving home!
