Hogfest is back. The last 3 day festival was in 2015 and last year activities were confined to just a Sunday afternoon. This year it's back in full force in Claremont. First off things kick off at 5PM today (Friday) with the sweet corn feed at the fire station. It's only 5 bucks. Besides sweet corn you get pulled pork sandwiches, pickles, chips and lemonade. It's only $3 for kids.  Where can you get a meal for $5? After the meal you can watch the Jaws of Life Demonstration as they rip open a car at 8PM. There will also be a DJ with karaoke at 8PM.

Some of Saturday's highlights include the Mud Bogs at CHS Field starting at 2PM. Second thing to take note of, is the prize list being offered for bingo. 20 games start at 3:30PM at the Presbyterian Church. Among the prizes, 40 pounds of bacon, a half hog and even an entire hog. Pretty impressive list, isn't it? The band Smokescreen takes the stage at 8PM.

Sunday starts off with a pancake breakfast at the Legion starting at 8AM. Thirdly the parade begins at 3PM on Sunday. Come out and show your support for the hard put into staging this event.

There have been quite a few who have gotten sick after eating Hy-Vee Spring Pasta Salad. Check your frig. Read more here.
