There was a very large crowd Saturday evening for the 2022 Rice County Dairy Princess Banquet at the American Legion in Morristown. The program was canceled in 2020 because of the COVID pandemic. In 2021 there was a very limited attendance for parents and immediate families so it sure was nice to have a normal banquet this year! It was also great to see six young ladies that wanted to represent and promote the Dairy Industry in Rice County!

The 2022 Rice County Dairy Princess include: Brook Johnson daughter of Jill Ellingson & Marshall Johnson who was sponsored by Ag Partners, Jacy Saemrow daughter of Gordon and Hindy Saemrow who was sponsored by Big Gain Feed, and Karlie Degrood daughter of Pat and Clarice Degrood who was sponsored by Steele-Waseca Coop Electric.

The 2022 Rice County Dairy Maids include: Ava Quast daughter of Bob and Katie Quast sponsored by Saemrow Dairy and Tatge Dairy, Molly Alberts daughter of David and Michelle Alberts sponsored by Schillview Holsteins, and Rae Duhm daughter of Mark and Chrissy Duhm sponsored by the First National Bank.

It was nice to hear the 2021 Dairy Princess Madelyn Wehe and Kelsey Kuball talk about their experiences being a Dairy Princess. It was also great to hear about Kelsey's experience at the Minnesota State Fair being one of the 10 Finalists for Princess Kay of the Milky Way!
