15 Years in Prison For Sexually Assaulting Rochester Child
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A St. Charles man with a previous child sex abuse conviction in Winona County was sentenced Thursday in an Olmsted County case.
30-year-old Sean Eckoldt was ordered to prison for 15 years for his conviction on a first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge. He pleaded guilty in March through a plea agreement that resulted in the dismissal of two other first-degree charges and 10 felony child pornography charges in a separate Winona County case.
He was accused of sexually abusing a young child over the span of three years beginning when the girl was six years old. Court records say the abuse occurred at residences in Rochester and Marion Township.
Eckoldt's previous criminal sexual conduct conviction was in Winona County, where he was charged with having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl in 2013. He was given a stayed prison sentence after admitting to a fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge through a plea agreement.
