Owatonna boys soccer is unbeaten three matches into the season at 1-0-2, but those two ties are the result of late-game goals by Farmington and Lakeville North. OHS coach Bob Waypa said on Saturday's coaches show that they need to find a way to finish off teams.
Owatonna's boys and girls soccer teams have already passed a few early season tests with wins and draws against perennial section favorites Lakeville North and Farmington. On Thursday each team will see how it stacks up in the Big Nine Conference race.
Freshman Grace Wolfe scored with 3:36 remaining to lift the Huskies past nemesis Lakeville North 1-0 Saturday at the Lincoln soccer complex in Owatonna.
The Owatonna Soccer Association fall travel soccer league online registration is open. In-person signup will be Thursday, July 7, at the soccer complex pavilion from 6-8PM.
