Well-Known Minnesota Amusement Park Is Looking To Hire 1,500 People
Minnesota's famous amusement park, Valleyfair, opens for the season on May 20th. With the opening date approaching, owners are beginning their search for seasonal workers. In fact, they are looking to hire 1,500 people.
A news release from the park explains that they are looking to fill positions in the following areas: food service, lifeguards, ride operators, entertainers, security, and guest services.
Both seasonal and full-time appointments are available. Some positions are even open to people as young as 14. Food and game associates can earn anywhere from $10 to $17 an hour.

Melissa Lutz, Valleyfair's Human Resources Director, explains,
"We have a great variety of jobs to offer any job seeker. That means we can extend opportunities that are a wonderful fit for each person's unique skills, talents, and personality. We offer flexible schedules that are great for students, teachers, parents, retirees, and part-time job seekers."
There are numerous benefits to working at the popular Shakopee attraction. Most workers get to spend their day outside in the sun (which at times can certainly be brutal), but on top of that, employees receive free and unlimited use of the park and water park during off-hours, tickets for friends and family, employee discounts, and invites to exclusive employee events.
