The University of Minnesota announces limited tickets are still available for the big season opener Thursday, September 2 against top-five rated Ohio State at the newly-named Huntington Bank Stadium on the U-of-MN campus. Fans will get a free rally towel.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW FOR GOPHER FOOTBALL IN 2021

Gopher Hour before each game features reduced price drink and food specials. It begins at 5:30 pm for the September 2 game. While it might not be as diverse an offering as the Minnesota State Fair, I imagine you will find something great for a pre-game meal. Check out these new foods at Gopher football.

  • Northern taco
  • Sizzle stand featuring BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, tater keg skewers, and more
  • Nacho foot-long hot dog
  • Scoop'd Ice Cream with the new waffle sundae bowl

There are no limits on fan attendance at home games this season. Facial coverings are required while indoors unless in the act of eating or drinking. The school encourages fans to wear masks when outdoors as well.

Fans can enter the stadium more quickly without having to empty their pockets or take off their shoes. (I'm not sure they actually required this.) The school will use enhanced magnetometers for security.

You can park your RV overnight for Saturday games this fall. Go here for details and how to acquire a pass.

Gopher Pass is back in 2021. The unique, popular game pass gets you into all seven home games for less than $30 per game. It's a chance to watch the action from different angles each game.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
