USC Rebels End Cardinals Baseball Season

On a great afternoon for some section baseball at Thompson Park in Wells, the Cardinals saw their season come to an end as the rebels won 6-2. Luke Donkers went the distance and took the loss. I had him for 84 pitches, three strikeouts, two walks and the Rebels getting 12 hits off him, and I had the Cardinals for four errors.

Zach Linde got the win for the Rebels and Ryan Kloos got the save as he came on in the fifth inning.

The Cardinals left nine on base and the Rebels 10. Cardinals had seven hits and there were two Rebel errors in my book.

Cardinals end at 5-14. USC goes to 11-6. They will play at 10AM Saturday in Austin.

The State Farm Insurance Players of the Game were Luke Donkers, Jack Clark, and the seniors, Brendan Trump, Hunter Dienst, John Fechter and Garret Johnson.
