Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Two Rochester men have been charged in separate child pornography cases.

Both are facing multiple child pornography-related felony charges.

One of the cases involves 52-year-old Thomas Meyer.

Police began investigating Meyer after receiving information about several images of suspected child pornography on a device registered to him. Police seized his computer, cell phone, and a tablet. Meyer denied looking at images of child pornography and said “his Adobe account was hacked so he switched emails.”

A search of Meyer's phone revealed images of child pornography and it appeared he viewed the images from his home. Meyer then admitted to viewing thousands of images on his phone and that he deleted the images. He is facing 10 felony child pornography-related charges. He had been ordered to make his first court appearance Jan. 6th.

The other man facing charges is 22-year-old Tyler Jones.

According to the criminal complaint in the case, a Rochester police investigator received five Cybertips from Google of suspected child pornography last year. The investigator was able to link the reported child porn uploads to Jones but he denied it. He has been ordered to make his first court appearance Jan. 28th.
