Two Children Fall From Minneapolis Apartment – One Has Died
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - Minneapolis Police are reporting that one of the two young children who fell out of a South Minneapolis apartment building Thursday afternoon has died.
A statement says officers responded to the 2800 block of Pleasant Avenue South around 2:20 PM after receiving reports that two children had fallen from an upper story of the building. Some workers at the site witnessed the children falling and were providing first aid when paramedics arrived and they were transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center.
Both children were initially listed in critical condition, but police say one of them has since died from the severe injuries suffered in the fall. Officials say it appears the children are both under the age of four.
