The event is being held at the new location for the Lonsdale Area Food Shelf, which is now in the southwest corner of Trondhjem Lutheran Church. This wasn't just a move for the Lonsdale Area Food Shelf, this was a completely redesigned space, for the volunteers and community members that will use the food shelf's services.

What is great to see and read about this project, is that it truly was a community project, where volunteers, community members, and local businesses all chipped in to get this move and redesign done successfully. There will be different amenities available in the new space, like appliances, due to the addition of improved electrical work.

Make sure if you come out, you stick around until the ribbon cutting at 5:30, that way you can see all the hard work that was done inside the new space.

The food shelf is open on Thursdays from 12:30PM - 5:00PM, according to the Lonsdale Area Food Shelf's website. If you've got questions about the Lonsdale Area Food Shelf, you can call their voice messaging line at 507-744-5399 or email Lonsdalefoodshelf@gmail.com.

The address for the celebration and food trucks is 7525 Garfield Ave in Lonsdale.
