The 16th Annual Andrew Lawrence Memorial Chili Cook-Off
Get your spoons ready.....it's coming up soon, in fact, just a month away. What is it? The 16th Annual Andrew Lawrence Memorial Chili Cook-Off. I found the event suggested on Facebook, and I know I am uber excited for it.
Taking place on February 1st, at the National Guard Armory right here in Owatonna, from 4pm to 8pm. There is going to be a ton of chili, and you can sample as much or as little as you want. One thing is for certain, if you leave still hungry, that's your own fault. It was at last year's cook-off that I fell in love with the white chili, so yummy.
According to their Facebook event:
This 16th Annual Chili Cook Off will feature almost 45 chilies from local chefs and restaurants that you can sample and then vote for your favorite. It is held on February 1, 2020 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Owatonna National Guard Armory (2323 W Bridge St.). These annual chili cook-offs have been organized to raise funds for the Andrew Lawrence Memorial Scholarship Fund established to receive and invest moneys for the sole purpose of providing scholarships to students. The fund is a 501 C 3 organization and all donations are tax deductible.
