An extra $500?  That's nothing to sneeze at.   I think we could all use another $500, right?  For the second time during this pandemic, Minneapolis based Target will be giving their frontline workers a $500 bonus. This means all of their hourly employees will receive the bonus.

In a release they stated that the hourly employees would receive the $500, and other employees would also receive a bonus.

Target, being one of the biggest big box stores, has remained open throughout the pandemic.  This means that they have had to staff all of their stores, distribution centers and field based offices.  This also means that their employees, especially the ones working in the stores, have had to expose themselves, potentially, to COVID on a daily basis.  Target has had some restrictions and protocols throughout the stores. They generally wipe down the areas where customers are touching things.  Like the credit card machine and key pad, the conveyor belt, and the self check out areas.

I have heard people saying that they don't like the fact that random people can touch all of the merchandise, however.  But that's almost a self-check system.  If you touch something, and you aren't purchasing it, use some hand sanitizer.  I feel like almost all of us have some portable hand sanitizer available. Plus,  most stores have sanitizing stations placed  throughout the store.  Let's use those!

Finally, let's hope this ends soon. I think we all would like to get back to some sort of normalcy.
