It was not a happy day for 350 workers of Sun Country Airlines at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport. They have been laid off.

The company has started a partnership with Global Aviation Services USA to handle their operations at MSP with regards to passenger service, ramp, and baggage handling. This company is already doing this for Sun Country in two airports in Florida.

In a statement, Sun Country said it is offering affected employees bonus packages and incentive pay options. The Sun Country is encouraging those employees to apply with Global Aviation.Global Aviation says they will give preferable access to interviews.

Global Aviation expects to take over on May 1st.
