St Paul (KROC AM News) - A St. Paul man has been convicted of sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s twin daughters and causing them to contract gonorrhea.

Convicted Tuesday was 36-year-old Arturo Gutierrez.

He was convicted of two counts each of 1st and 2nd-degree criminal sexual contact. The criminal complaint says the girls were 4-years-old when they were assaulted by Gutierrez in 2018. The charges were filed after tests determined the two tested positive for the sexually transmitted disease. He also tested positive for gonorrhea. He is scheduled to be sentenced April 1st.

Gutierrez is also facing charges in a separate case, accused of sexually abusing and assaulting another girl over a period of several years.
