I’m really excited about Christmas this year because I think things should be closer to normal. Last year, my kids Zoomed with Santa, and that was OK but definitely not the same as visiting him in person.

A few days ago, the Rochester Downtown Alliance announced their annual “Here Comes Santa Claus” event will return to its traditional format later this month with Santa being rescued and Mrs. Claus reading stories, and today we’re learning about Santa photos at the Apache Mall.

The mall is going to offer two different types of Santa visits this year.

Kids will be able to sit next to Santa (socially distanced) which is actually perfect for my daughter because she's never been comfortable sitting on his lap. On the other hand, my son freaking loves Santa so he'll most likely pick the second option which is sitting with Santa.

Skip The Line!

The Apache Mall is encouraging families to reserve a spot online. I’d encourage that too because kids (and parents) get cranky when they have to wait in line forever. I’d hate for you to end up on the naughty list because you got frustrated waiting your turn.

COVID is still a thing so there will still be some safety measures in place to keep Santa, his helpers, and visitors safe and healthy. Safety Measures include more sanitation stations and more frequent cleaning of high-touch areas and character costumes.

Santa will be at the Mall in Rochester every day between December 2nd and Christmas Eve.
