In 2018 we published a story about a Rochester mom's new invention. At that time, she was launching a Kickstarter campaign with the goal of getting her product in stores. Since then she won $25,000 in the MN Cup Competition, a community-led, public-private partnership that helps Minnesota entrepreneurs, and now she'll have the chance to pitch her idea to the sharks on the TV show Shark Tank.

The woman's name is Beth Fynbo and her product is called the Busy Baby Mat. Her website describes it as "a placemat that adheres to any smooth, flat surface and has a proprietary tether system that allows you to attach the baby’s items to the mat. They are easy to use AND to clean. It’s all made from 100% food-grade, FDA-approved silicone. Plus, it's dishwasher safe. The mats roll up and fit easily in most diaper bags and purses." Check out the video below to see how it works.

Fynbo just announced on the companies Facebook page that she has been invited to appear on the show Shark Tank. The Facebook post said, "If you are one of the HUNDREDS of people who told me I should be on Shark Tank, I have finally obliged! Tell your friends and make sure you tune in on March 5th!!! I’m not allowed to spill the beans until after it airs, but I’d love to know what you think should happen. Should Busy Baby get an offer from the Sharks? Who would be the best partner?"
