Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman is accused of ripping off the state Revenue Department by submitting bogus property tax refund returns.

A dozen felony charges have been filed in Olmsted County Court against 64-year-old Marilyn Krage. According to the criminal complaint, Revenue Dept. investigators became aware of possible fraudulent activity in March 2019. They determined Krage had filed twelve property tax refund returns between 2014 and 2019. She received refunds totaling $10,200.

Investigators learned Krage had used different social security numbers when filing the returns. They checked with the Social Security Administration and were told five of the numbers belonged to people who died between 1961 and 1983.

Krage has been ordered to make her first court appearance next month.
