Rare Traffic Tickets Issued to Two Minnesota Men
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two Rochester men were written up last week for violating a traffic law many may not be aware of.
Both were driving pickup trucks with oversized tires.
The first violator to be caught was 26-year-old Gerardo Villa. He was stopped in Rochester and the state trooper who pulled him over determined his tires extended 4 - 5 inches beyond the fender. The trooper then discovered he had warned Villa about the tires a year earlier. He had also been warned in 2017. According to the citation, Villa told the trooper “he knew the tires were too wide.”
A different trooper was involved in the other violation. He stopped 22-year-old Taylor Fitzgerald in rural Rochester and gave him a ticket for tires that extended beyond the fenders.
