World of Outlaw Late Model Series points leader Josh Richards of West Virginia won the main feature Saturday night at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley.

Richards, who also won the event in 2011, earned an $11,000 payday with the victory in the 50-lap main event. Richards grabbed the lead early, according to a race recap on the Deer Creek Speedway website, and led most of the night. It was his ninth win of the season. Richards also won his qualifying group.

Shane Clanton of Georgia took second in the feature. Rick Eckert of Pennsylvania finished third. Chad Simpson of Iowa and Jimmy Mars of Wisconsin rounded out the top five; 36 cars were entered.

Jesse Glenz of Wisconsin won the USRA Modified event, holding off Zack VanderBeek of Iowa. Brandon Davis of Medford was third. Nate Wasmund of Rochester finished fourth and Josh Angst of Winona was fifth. Mark Motl of Owatonna was a heat winner but finished back in the pack of the 30-lap feature. The night started with 37 cars in the field.

The event is a fundraiser for the Blooming Prairie Lions. This year was the 37th annual race and the 12th straight year to be held at Deer Creek.
