The Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (OACCT) is among business groups across Minnesota that have plead with the governor to reopen businesses. While a few restrictions will be modified, indications are that restaurants and bars still have indoor dining closures through the holidays.

In their weekly Tuesday Talk e-newsletter, the OACCT states, "The Owatonna Chamber along with business communities across the state are encouraging Governor Walz to open up the restricted businesses. Let's give our bars/restaurants, fitness facilities, entertainment venues an ability to save their livelihoods. They need it NOW."

Tuesday Talk also reports on a relief bill for establishments affected by the shutdown. "The Minnesota legislature has approved a relief package that will send roughly $217 million to small businesses impacted by Governor Walz restrictions on bars, restaurants, fitness centers, and entertainment facilities."

The Owatonna Business Partnership invites people to "Shop Owatonna and Win." $2,000 in prizes will be given away to customers who shop at participating businesses.
